Ever since the dawn of humankind, there has been a desire for shelter and by extension roofing. Whilst there are multiple types of roofing form that have developed over the years, evidence suggests that the first ever roof was produced over 40 000 years ago and has been made from the skin of a wooly mamoth. SInce then the roof has developed both in terms of form and material. In Europe and Britain slate and clay tiles have been the predominant material for roofing since the 19th century with latter synthetic materials making up our contemporary repertoire. At RoofTech, we have experience using a wide variety of materials, as evidenced below, and are also happy to talk through the best option for your project.
